Effective control of ants often relies on knowledge of their foraging and nesting habits.

 

WHAT WE DO…

Where a given infestation is being treated, a thorough inspection should be carried out to determine the location of the nest, either approximately or precisely.

 

Direct treatment of the nest, where possible, can provide the most effective, longer term control. Alternatively, the use of chemical barriers that interfere between the nest and possible food source is often effective.

 

Our technician will complete a thorough inspection of your home before starting this service, looking for signs of ant activity as well as discuss with you any concerns you may have on site. Areas to be spray treated are all crack and crevices around your home including all windows, weep holes, door frames, eaves, fence and clothes lines. All trailing ants and nests found on site will be directly treated with a residual insecticide.

 

HOW YOU CAN HELP...

Reduce rubbish lying around and co-ordinate rubbish pick up times to best suit site needs.  Reduce water lying around on site, particularly around bins. Dispose of food scraps effectively.

Pay attention to garden beds during warmer months. Seal cracks and crevices leading to problematic or food preparation areas. Housekeeping and the attention to possible food sources are critical in reducing and attracting ants on site.

COCKROACHES

Cockroaches have changed very little in their 400 million years on earth. Because they evolved as scavengers of dead plant material, they prefer carbohydrates to proteins or fats. However, when they are hungry, they will feed on almost anything.

 

WHAT WE DO…

Our technician will complete a thorough inspection of your home before starting this service, looking for signs of cockroach activity as well as discuss with you any concerns you may have on site. Our technician will service all crack and crevices with a flushing agent designed to kill roaches found on site during service. Some of these areas will include your windows, skirting boards, cracks in tiles and kitchen cupboards. Other areas will have a cockroach gel applied to them, this gel will attract hiding roaches, these roaches will feed on this gel rendering them unable to reproduce and eventually dying. A dust will also be blown into your roof void if required. Depending on the type of cockroach and how bad the infestation is a follow up visit will performed 10 to 14 days later.

Hygiene is the most important factor from a customers side of things, as the cockroach population thrives in areas where food, water and shelter are readily available. Therefore reduction or elimination of these components is vital to keep them under control.

Sealing all possible harborages and fixing any leaks is also a vital part to keep breeding zones to a minimum.

 

The distribution and abundance of pest rodents are largely determined by the availability of food and shelter. Rats and mice live and nest within buildings indefinitely, provided they have access to food (perhaps water) and shelter.

 

WHAT WE DO…

Our technician will complete a thorough inspection of your home looking for signs of rodent activity as well as discuss with you any concerns and possible entry points which may assist in your rodent service.

 

Areas included in the inspection are all internal areas including your roof voids, underfloor, if accessible, and surrounding gardens and outbuildings. Following the inspection your technician will place bait and/or stations to the appropriate areas informing you of their location on your property.

WARRANTY

We have differant warranties for differant pests, depending and the type of pest we are treating. Cockroaches, silverfish and spiders are under warranty for 12 months. and ants are under warranty for 3 months due to the difficulty in control certain species. Fleas and ticks are under warranty for 1 month as the treatment is a knock down treatment and should kill off all in 1 hit. if the infestation is servere we will do a follow up visit to make sure they are gone. pets must be treated before and after we have treated the property. pests such as flies, mosquitoes and wasp do not have any warranty due to treatments only being able to kill the colonies that are there at the time and is not a preventative for re infestation. all warranties are subject to inspection and conditions
